“Serpent” brooch in gold with turquoise and diamonds, Portuguese, 19th/20th century.

Brooch in 19.2 kt – 800 ‰ yellow gold , in the form of a serpent. The body coils around itself, and the head is set with one cabochon turquoise, two old European cut diamonds, and two rose-cut diamonds. Portuguese, bearing the Lisbon assay mark (1887–1937) and an illegible maker’s mark.
